Review: Princess Anna Dress

"I want to be Princess Anna" states my darling toddler, adorning a pout on her precious little face. We were searching the 75% off Halloween costume rack at Wal-Mart for a princess dress for Christmas family pictures, this year Val picked Disney Princess themed. The Snow White and Cinderella costumes were cute, but they were no dice to the picky little girl. Defeated I went home and scoured Amazon for an Anna costume that was not too cheap looking but wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. That is when I landed on the ReliBeauty Little Girls G8180 Retro Princess Fancy Dress Costume. It was the same costume that I kept seeing pop up on the search pages but this listing was for $15.99 opposed to the other listings that had the same dress for over $20. I checked out the reviews, they were all-in-all pretty positive and ordered a size 5. Since I had Amazon Prime the dress came in the expected two days in a flat rate padded envelope, exactly what I expected. I called Val down from her room and told her that she got a special surprise in the mail, she loves getting mail. We carefully removed the bag from the envelope and she unzipped the bag. She shouted with glee as she whipped the dress out of the bag, "It's Anna, it's Anna! Oh, Mommy thank you so much it is beautiful!" Naturally, she wanted to try it on with her baby sister in her Princess Belle dress, because they both had to be princesses at this very moment in time. I snapped some quick pictures, the reason why they aren't the best is because Val was hanging all over me, begging for me to hurry up. She slipped it on and the fit was perfect! Val twirled and gave a little show. Getting her to take it off was not an easy task.

The Dress Breakdown

Pros

  • Well Made

  • Beautiful

  • Not itchy

  • NO LOOSE GLITTER!!!!

  • Cheap Price

  • No Chemical Smell

Cons

  • Flat skirt

  • Thin Material

The dress came in a simple zip bag. It was nicely folded in there, unlike my toddler's repacking as shown

Packing Bag

The dress is a two piece outfit. It is made out of your typical costume material, so it isn't all that thick for a long sleeve dress. The material isn't itchy and Val told me that it was comfortable to wear without wearing anything extra underneath.

Princess Anna Dress as a whole

The black material is soft velvet with gold, glittery material trimming.

The flowers are made out of glitter, but the glitter stays on the dress and does not fall off.

The cuffs of the arms have a light blue trimming, same material as the gold trimming.

The back of the dress has a zipper and it is stitched on there quite well, my daughter is not gentle on zippers and it managed to hold up to her unzipping the dress.

The inside of the dress did have some long strings hanging down

The skirt of the dress has the glitter flowers on it just like the top. The skirt isn't that full, but Val has a petticoat that can be worn underneath of the dress to give it more volume.

The cape is closed by Velcro, but it isn't the weak kind of Velcro. The cape has the same golden trim as the top part of the dress.

Overall the dress is well worth the price I paid and would buy it again if the current one gets damaged. It closely resembles the movie version, or as well as a knock off could resemble, kids won't notice the difference between a Disney Store officiant or this dress.

Here is a sneak peak of the girls in their dresses!
